Wallace Brittle is a 1995 graduate of the College of William and Mary where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Environmental Science. In 2001 Mr. Brittle graduated with his Juris Doctor from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. While attending T.C. Williams Mr. Brittle served at the president of the Environmental Law Society and president of the Trial Advocacy Board. He was awarded the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Trial Advocate of the Year for 2001. Upon graduation, Mr. Brittle spent a year in Roanoke, Virginia with the firm of Gentry Locke Rakes and Moore where he was involved in domestic relations litigation, environmental law and construction litigation. Subsequently, Mr. Brittle opened his own law office and was a solo, general practitioner for 4 and one-half years. In his general practice, Mr. Brittle handled all types of civil and criminal litigation, particularly criminal defense and domestic relations representation. From 2003 until 2006 Mr. Brittle was a part-time Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in Sussex County where he prosecuted all types of criminal and traffic matters in the General District Court, the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court and the Circuit Court. Mr. Brittle's part-time status allowed him to act as a zealous defense attorney in other jurisdictions. The combination of postitions allowed him the opportunity to foster a congenial and respectful relationship with the law enforcement community, the prosecutors and the judges of the courts as well as gain a broad understanding of the intricacies of criminal law and procedures. Mr. Brittle then spent nine months at the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality where he was the petroleum storage tank enforcement manager where he received much training in regulatory, administrative and litigation matter. Mr. Brittle has a broad understanding of all facets of the law, and he brings to your case a unique ability to understand the subtle distinctions to be found in every case.
